European video hosting, simple and privacy-friendly

Host screencasts, instructional videos and customer videos in Hetzner's European data centres. Full control over who watches — no YouTube, no ads, no tech giant looking over your shoulder.

Your videos, your control — hosted safely in Europe

With Videohost you put your own videos online within minutes and decide for yourself who may see them. Whether it’s internal onboarding videos, a manual for a customer or a private webinar: you stay in control.

Unlike YouTube or Vimeo, everything runs at Hetzner in Germany, with your videos in Hetzner object storage in the EU. No American cloud provider, no ads, no tracking, no tech giant looking over your shoulder.

Four ways to share

Choose exactly the right level of access per video:

A watermark with the viewer’s address discourages redistribution, and with view tracking you see exactly who has watched.

Delivering, not just letting people watch

Sometimes the other person really needs to have the file. Then you don’t send a generic link around — Videohost gives every recipient their own download link: valid for 48 hours, usable once, and optionally with a personal code you pass on yourself, say over the phone. Everyone gets their own email — the other addresses stay invisible.

And then the part most video platforms don’t give you: you see whether it arrived. Per download, it shows whether the full file went out or the connection dropped along the way, accurate to the percentage. You also see whether the email with the link was delivered and opened. If something went wrong, you send a new link with one click — no more “I never received it”.

Selling a video

Put a price on a video and share the link: the viewer pays with iDEAL — the Dutch online banking payment method — and then gets the download in their mailbox. Connect your own Mollie account, and the proceeds come straight to you — no platform taking a cut, and no separate webshop needed. Don’t have Mollie yet? You create one right away while connecting it. Would rather not have your own account at all? Then we collect payments and pay you out up to a fixed monthly amount.

Handy for a recorded webinar, a course module or the recording of a customer event.

Everything in your own branding

The player, the download page and the emails carry your logo, colour and sender name — and with multiple brands, you choose per video which branding the viewer sees. Before you hit send, you see the email exactly as the recipient will get it.

Privacy without the hassle

Videohost shows no ads, places no tracking pixels and doesn’t profile your viewers. You buy the service from Oostsoft Pro B.V., a Dutch provider, and the videos are stored at Hetzner, a German company — there is no American cloud provider in between. That makes Videohost suited to confidential customer videos, demos and private recordings.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my videos stored?
In object storage at Hetzner, a German company, in the EU. Videohost itself runs on Hetzner servers in Germany. You buy the service from Oostsoft Pro B.V. in Bedum, the Netherlands, and there is no American cloud provider in between.
Are ads shown, or am I tracked?
No. Videohost shows no ads and places no tracking pixels. We don't sell viewing data and we don't profile your viewers. Your videos are stored on servers in the EU.
Who is Videohost for?
For SMEs, agencies, trainers and organisations who want to share their own videos safely with their team and customers, without depending on YouTube or American cloud platforms. It's deliberately set up on a smaller scale — ideal for company video, manuals and private content.
How can I decide who may see my videos?
Per video, you choose from four access modes: your own team only, a specific guest list, behind a password, or a public link you can embed on your own website.
What does it cost?
There's a free plan to try it out. After that, you start from €9 per month (Starter), with Business at €29 and Pro/White-label at €79 per month. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
Can I sell a video?
Yes. You put a price on the video and share the link; the viewer pays with iDEAL — the Dutch online banking payment method — and then receives the download link by email. Connect your own Mollie account, and the proceeds come straight to you. If you don't have Mollie yet, you can create one right away while connecting it — or you can let us collect and pay out up to a fixed monthly amount.
Can I let someone download the file without making it public?
Yes, with a personal download link. Every recipient gets their own, secret link, valid for 48 hours and usable once. You can add a personal code on top that you pass on yourself, by phone for example. If you send several at once, everyone gets their own email without the other addresses being visible.
Do I know whether my video actually arrived?
Yes. Per download attempt, you see whether the full file was sent or the connection dropped along the way — including how far it got. The delivery status of the email with the link is shown too: sent, delivered, opened or rejected. If something went wrong, you send a new link with one click.
