A dedicated app for your village

Residents read news, the calendar and the noticeboard, and chat with each other in the residents' app on their phone. You manage members, posts and reports from a single web environment.

How Dorpsapp works

Dorpsapp is the admin environment behind your village, neighbourhood or district’s residents’ app. Residents use the mobile app; you manage content, members and settings from the browser.

  1. Set up your community. Create your community, choose which features are switched on, and generate invitation codes that residents use to register in the residents’ app.
  2. Publish and moderate. Move news and calendar items from draft to published — with AI help while writing — and send a push notification along with them. You handle reported noticeboard posts in the moderation queue.
  3. Keep an overview. Track storage and administrator limits in the usage dashboard, answer bug reports and user questions, and write help articles that residents can read in the app.

Who it’s for

Management behind the scenes

Besides content and members, Dorpsapp provides the tools to keep the app itself running: a maintenance mode with a notice in the residents’ app, version management for the mobile app, and monitoring of login attempts and API use per member or IP address. Requests for account or data deletion come in through a public page and you handle them in the admin environment.

Frequently asked questions

Do residents need a separate app?
Yes. Residents use the mobile residents' app (Mijn Buurt) on iOS and Android; per community, you set the links to the App Store and Play Store. Dorpsapp is the admin environment where you manage content, members and settings.
Can one environment serve several villages or neighbourhoods?
Yes. Dorpsapp has a multi-community mode, for example for a municipality with several neighbourhoods or villages. Each community has its own members, noticeboard, news, calendar and settings, and its own administrators.
How do residents sign up?
You generate invitation codes per community that residents use to register in the app; each community also has a public invitation page. You can approve new members first, and accounts are activated with an email validation code.
Can I turn features on or off?
Yes. Per community, you switch features such as chat, the noticeboard, news and the calendar on or off. Through the built-in feature marketplace, you can add extensions such as AI text generation, polls and surveys, a marketplace, volunteer management, or extra storage and administrator seats.
