From facade dimensions to a quote, without a spreadsheet
Draw the panels, cut out the windows and doors, and the app adds up the cladding panels, the battens, the profiles and the cutting waste — with your prices underneath.
Why a dedicated calculator for facades
Calculating wall cladding isn’t hard, it’s laborious. Area minus the
openings, then divide by the panels, add the cutting waste, count the
profiles along the edges, and multiply that by a price that differs per
panel type. It fits in a spreadsheet — until someone forgets the gable, or
the corner profiles, or copies the sheet for the next project and leaves the
old prices in place.
The Facade Designer does the same sum, but you only enter dimensions.
How it works
- Enter your prices once. Per panel type per square metre, per
accessory per metre or per piece — or a single all-in rate for the whole
facade.
- Create a project. A name and, if you have the CRM, the customer.
- Draw the panels. Width, height, shape, colour, panel type, plank
direction, and the running metres of corner.
- Cut out the openings. Windows, doors and the rest, by position.
- Send it through to a quote. New, or into a quote that’s already
running.
Who it’s for
- Facade builders and roofers who offer cladding and currently open a
spreadsheet per project.
- Joinery firms who quote both window frames and facade work and prefer
to go to the customer in a single document.
- Estimators who want the material list to be the purchase list, and
not a second list living alongside it.
What it gets you
A price that’s right because the cutting waste and the profiles are built
in by default, and a material list that’s immediately the order list. And
because the design stays attached to the project: if the customer moves a
window, you recalculate it in a minute instead of rebuilding the
spreadsheet.
What it does
-
A facade is a few panels
The front facade is one panel, the side facade a second. You enter width and height, choose the colour, the panel type and the plank direction, and watch the drawing move as you type. You only split it when the dimensions or the material differ — not because the software asks for it.
-
Even when the facade isn't rectangular
A sloped top, a trapezium, or a gable with a point on it: you enter the deviating dimension and the app works the sloped cut back to an area itself. No more working it out yourself with a triangle formula.
-
Windows and doors cut into the price
You place every opening by position, with a width and a height. Small openings are deducted from the area; a window or a door deliberately stays counted, because you cut around that frame and finish the reveals — that material you do buy in.
-
The material list, not just the square metres
Per panel you see gross, net, material including cutting waste and the number of cladding panels. Added up below that: battens and starter, end and corner profiles in metres, and the number of screws. That's the list you buy from, not an estimate made afterwards.
-
Your own prices, or a single all-in rate
Enter a price per square metre for each panel type and a price per metre or per piece for each accessory. Prefer working with a single amount for the whole facade including installation? Then switch on the all-in rate. If the prices are still at zero, the app says so on the dashboard and in the project — you never hand over a €0.00 quote without knowing it.
-
One quote, windows included
Done drawing? Turn it into a new quote, or add it to a quote that's already open. That way the window frames from the Window Designer and this cladding end up in one document for the customer, rather than two separate ones.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I have to draw the facade to scale?
- No. You enter dimensions — width, height, and the position of each opening. The drawing alongside moves with you so you can see whether you've got the right dimensions, but the price always comes from the calculation and never from the picture.
- Does it factor in the cutting waste?
- Yes, and that's exactly the difference between this list and a sum on a notepad. Panels come in fixed widths, so what you buy in is more than what you actually clad. You see both figures side by side.
- What if I forget the corner profiles?
- Then they won't be on the quote. Per panel you enter the number of running metres of outside and inside corner; the app calculates the corner profiles from that. It's the field that gets skipped most often, so check it before you go ahead.
- Can I add the customer?
- If you use the CRM, you pick the contact when creating the project. The customer details then appear on the quote correctly straight away, with no need to re-enter them.
