The independent window frame configurator
Build every window frame down to the last detail — panel layout, tilt-and-turn windows, doors, panels — with the price visible immediately. You choose which factories you work with, not your software.
The window frame configurator that isn’t locked to one factory
Most window frame configurators on the market are the web version of one
production package: convenient for factories that run on it themselves,
closed to everyone else. LSQapps’ Window Frames app turns that around. You
set up your own profile systems, glass types and prices, keep price lists
per supplier, and order from whichever factory suits the job. Switch
supplier, and you don’t switch software.

independent configurator or factory-bound webshop?
How it works
- Design from the quote. Open the configurator straight from a sales
quote or an intake, and put the window frame together: dimensions,
profile system, panel layout, tilt-and-turn windows, doors, panels,
glazing and colours. The drawing and the price are calculated live.
- Check as you draw. Built-in checks against Dutch building
regulations (NEN, Bouwbesluit) and glass-thickness guidance (NEN 2608)
test the design based on wind zone and building use.
- Let the customer sign and pay. Through the customer portal the
customer signs digitally — with a SHA-256 verification hash on the
signed document — and pays invoices via a payment link, including
iDEAL, the Dutch online banking standard.
- Order from the factory. Open the ready-filled window order form on
the job — generated automatically from the designs — check the choices
and email it as a PDF to the factory. The sending is logged on the
customer timeline.
Part of the Window Frames suite
The configurator isn’t a lone island. The same platform holds CRM, on-site
intake, quotes and invoices, purchasing, planning and service — one
customer file from first contact to maintenance. Replace old windows with
HR++ or triple glazing, and the quote also works out an estimate for the
Dutch ISDE sustainability subsidy.
Who it’s for
- Resellers and merchants who work with several factories and want to
stop duplicating work across separate portals.
- Installation and handyman businesses who measure during the day and
don’t want to lose evenings to writing quotes.
- Smaller window-frame factories (wood and uPVC) that want digital
order intake without investing in their own webshop ecosystem.
Dutch software, European hosting
LSQapps is built in the Netherlands and runs on servers in the EU, in line
with the GDPR. Your customer data and designs stay yours.

What it does
-
Panel layout down to the last detail
Divide a window frame with mullions and transoms, refine each panel, add glazing bars and combine frames into corner frames or bay windows. You can draw angled shapes such as a trapezium or gable end directly, too.
-
Windows, doors and panels in one design
Combine fixed panels, tilt-and-turn windows, sliding doors, front and back doors and solid panels in one frame, including hardware, locks and security options.
-
Price visible immediately, configurable per supplier
The price calculation runs live from your own price catalogue, with price lists per supplier, tiers and customer groups. You see where the cost sits for every part — and for that one special frame you can set your own surcharge or fixed price, shown right next to the calculation.
-
Quotes stay accurate
When pricing, the calculation is locked onto the quote as a snapshot. If you change prices in the catalogue later, an existing quote doesn't silently change with it.
-
Built-in Dutch building-code checks
The design is checked as you configure, against Dutch building regulations (NEN, Bouwbesluit), including glass-thickness guidance under NEN 2608 based on wind zone and building use. You see errors before the quote goes out.
-
From approval to factory order
The customer signs and pays through the customer portal. The job carries a ready-filled window order form, generated automatically from the designs — check it, add to it and email it to the factory. From then on, the job, the job list and the activity log show when and to whom it was sent — no more doubt about whether the order has reached the factory.

Frequently asked questions
- Who is the window frame configurator for?
- For companies that sell or install window frames without wanting to run a large software landscape themselves: resellers and merchants who work with multiple factories, installation and handyman businesses that want to produce error-free quotes faster, and smaller window-frame factories that want digital order intake without building their own webshop. End customers don't work in the configurator itself; they view, sign and pay their quote through the customer portal.
- Does this work with my existing factory or supplier?
- Yes. The configurator isn't tied to one factory. You set up your own profile systems, glass types and prices in the catalogue, keep purchase price lists per supplier with versions and validity dates, and email the order as a filled-in order form to the factory of your choice. You manage suppliers simply as contacts in the CRM.
- Am I locked into one production package?
- No. That's exactly the difference with factory-bound webshops: those are the web version of one production package and only work with factories that run on that same package. The LSQ window frame configurator stands apart from that. You decide which factories and suppliers you work with, and you can switch between them without changing software.
- How does pricing per supplier work?
- All prices sit in the platform's central price catalogue. There you work with price books (for example a base price list with a markup or discount percentage per derived list), tiers and customer groups. On the purchasing side, you keep price lists per supplier with a version number and a valid-from/valid-to date. While configuring, you see the price build-up calculated live, part by part.
- Do older quotes stay accurate after a price change?
- Yes. When pricing, the full calculation is locked onto the quote as a snapshot. If you raise prices in the catalogue afterwards, the existing quote stays exactly as the customer received it. You can still re-price, but only as a deliberate action — never silently. You can also freeze catalogue versions: a historical version becomes read-only.
- Can my customer sign and pay digitally?
- Yes. The customer logs in to the customer portal without a password, via a secure email link, views the quote and signs digitally. A SHA-256 verification hash is recorded for the signed document, so it can be proven afterwards that it hasn't been changed. Customers pay invoices via a payment link, including iDEAL — the Dutch online banking payment method — through Mollie.
- How do I order the glass?
- The glass sits in the design: for each panel, the configurator calculates the glazing build-up and the dimensions, and the glass-thickness guidance under the Dutch NEN 2608 standard checks that the thickness is correct based on wind zone and building use. The order form to the window-frame factory carries the glazing per frame along with it.
- What appears per frame on the quote?
- Every window frame gets its own block with the technical drawing (exterior view, with dimensions and panel letters) and the specification next to it: size, profile system, corner joint, colours of frame and sashes, spacer, opening and hardware, glass per panel, glazing bars, trim profiles, ventilation grilles and insect screens. Accessories such as window sills and insect screens also appear as their own line in the price specification. Whatever you tick or add in the design ends up on paper — you never have to retype anything into a comments field.
- What appears on the order form that goes to the factory?
- Per element type — frame, windows, front door, back door and sliding door — the outside and inside colour, the foil separately for outside and inside, the glass or infill, and the hardware from the list that belongs to that element. Doors get their own fields for lock, hardware series, bell and letterbox, plus a Door infill column with the panel or glass including thickness; which door is the front door, the form derives from the name of the frame in the design, and if that door is called something different for this customer (say, a utility door with a letterbox), you simply overtype the row name. At the bottom sits the profile overview with a cross-section drawing per profile. Everything is pre-filled from the designs and can be overtyped anywhere, with a live preview beside it that you can zoom into and where clicking a field takes you to the right input box. Leave a dropdown field empty and the PDF gets a blank line instead. The system remembers the factory's address from your previous order, and after sending, the job shows when and to whom it was sent — the job list shows the label Ordered from factory next to the status.
- Can I adjust the dropdown lists on the order form myself?
- Yes, and that's deliberate: new suppliers' products keep arriving, and you shouldn't have to wait for us for that. For each dropdown list you can rename values (per language too), hide them without breaking existing forms, put your preferences at the top and add your own values. The profile overview is such a list too: you add a profile number, attach a cross-section drawing to it and correct or remove the note beneath it. You can do that in the middle of placing an order.
- Wood, uPVC, aluminium — what's supported?
- The material sits with the profile system. In the catalogue you set up profile systems in uPVC, aluminium or wood, each with its own profiles, corner joints and prices. In practice the configurator is used a lot for uPVC window frames, but the catalogue doesn't force any one material.
- Where is my data stored?
- LSQapps is Dutch software and runs on servers in the European Union, in line with the GDPR. Your designs, customer data and quotes stay within the EU and aren't a commodity: you pay for the software, not with your data.
- Can I embed the configurator in my own website?
- No, not at the moment. Configuring happens inside the platform, by you or your sales staff; your customer follows along through the customer portal and signs there. A variant that lets visitors to your own website configure for themselves doesn't exist right now.
- What does it cost and how does the subscription work?
- You activate the app in your own LSQapps environment and pay per application you use; you can try it for free through the catalogue.
- How does this compare to factory-bound webshops?
- A factory-bound webshop is strong if your factory runs entirely on that production package and you only sell that one factory's output: the order and the production line up seamlessly. If you work with several factories, or your factory doesn't have that kind of ecosystem, you end up with separate portals side by side and duplicate data entry. The independent configurator solves that: one environment, your own prices per supplier, and the order goes to whichever factory you choose.
- Does this connect with my bookkeeping or ERP?
- The configurator is part of the LSQapps platform: the design becomes a priced quote line in Sales, and from there the line runs on to the job and the invoice. For bookkeeping, the platform connects with, among others, the Dutch accounting packages Exact Online and e-Boekhouden, and the Bank app shows you when an invoice has been paid.
- How quickly can I get started, and what do I need?
- You start with your own environment through the catalogue. For a working setup you need three things: your profile systems and options in the technical catalogue, your prices in the price catalogue, and your suppliers as contacts in the CRM. After that you design straight from a quote.
- What if my factory uses its own order format?
- The order form to the factory is configurable and fills in automatically from the design; it goes as a PDF by email to the supplier you pick from your CRM, and the sending is logged on the customer timeline.
