How Planning works
Planning gives you the overview of a whiteboard full of sticky notes, but digital and without anything ever falling off the board.
- Create a planning board. Give it a name and divide it into groups — for example by phase, week or team — with activities as rows inside them.
- Add tasks. Choose a task type and optionally add a description, a start and end date, and times. Mark milestones as an event.
- Drag until it fits. Grab groups, activities or tasks by their handle and drag them to the right place — including between groups and activities. The whole board is saved in one go.
Who it’s for
- Project teams who want to divide work visually across phases and activities, with dates and milestones on a single board.
- Production and workshop environments that want to see, per activity, what work is scheduled and what’s coming up.
- Anyone with a physical planning board who wants the same overview digitally, including the ability to shift work around.
Task types as a legend
Task types determine how you read your board: every task chip takes the colour of its type and, optionally, an icon, and a legend with all the types in use appears above the board. You can make types generic across all your boards, or specific to one board. The dashboard also shows, per board, the number of groups and the next eight tasks with date and time — one click takes you to the matching board.
