How Helpdesk works
Helpdesk replaces emailing screenshots back and forth with watching directly: you see what the user sees, and the user stays in control.
- The user gives consent. A support session only starts after agreeing in the consent dialog, which shows exactly what is shared — screen and mouse movements, yes; keystrokes, no.
- You watch live. Open the overview of active sessions, click a session and follow in real time what the user sees, with the browser error messages alongside it. All in your own browser, with no installation.
- The session cleans up after itself. Sessions expire automatically after the configured duration (30 minutes by default), recordings are deleted after seven days, and the audit log keeps track of who watched, and when.
Who it’s for
- Support teams who want to resolve “it doesn’t work for me” reports by watching along themselves instead of asking for screenshots.
- Application administrators who want to guide users remotely within their LSQapps environment, with configurable roles and permissions.
- Developers tracing a bug: the user’s console errors sit right next to the live view.
Privacy as the starting point
Watching someone’s screen is invasive, so Helpdesk is built around that: explicit consent up front, automatic masking of Dutch national ID numbers (BSN), IBANs, email addresses and passwords, no shared keystrokes, and an audit log that records every action. Recordings disappear after seven days by default; via the REST API, your own integration can start, stop and follow sessions itself if you want.
