Always know what's out on loan
Uitlenen registers the items your organisation lends out and the bookings on them. You approve or decline every request, and once an end date passes you see straight away that an item is overdue.
How Uitlenen works
Uitlenen is a lending system within your own LSQapps environment: a single
register of everything your organisation lends out, with a fixed status
flow per item and per booking.
- Add your items to the register. Choose a category, record condition,
value, location and pickup instructions, and set the rate and the
maximum loan period. Then set the item to Available.
- Handle bookings. Requests come in with a start and end date and a
message from the borrower. You approve or decline, with a reply of your
own.
- Track the return. On return, you close off the booking and the
return date is recorded. If an item stays out too long, the booking
automatically switches to Overdue.
Who it’s for
- Associations and community initiatives that lend out tools, play
equipment or event supplies and want to know where everything is.
- Companies and organisations with internal lending of equipment,
vehicles or electronics to employees.
- Lending points that apply different terms per item: free,
donation-based or for a fixed rate.
A dashboard with the current state
The dashboard shows at a glance how many items there are, how many are
available, and how many bookings are pending or active. Below that are the
ten most recent bookings with their status — from Pending to Overdue — so
you see straight away where action is needed.
What it does
-
Item register with categories
Record condition, estimated value, location and pickup instructions per item. Nine default categories are ready right after activation; add your own categories with an icon and ordering whenever you like.
-
Bookings with approval
Every booking starts as a request with a start and end date and a message from the borrower. You approve or decline it, with a reply of your own.
-
Overdue tracking
Once the end date has passed and the item still hasn't been returned, the booking automatically gets the status Overdue — visible straight away in the overview and on the dashboard.
-
Free, donation-based or paid
Set the rate per item: free, donation-based or for a fixed amount. You can also set a maximum loan period of between 1 and 365 days.
-
Reviews per loan
See the 1-to-5-star reviews with comments for every booking — covering both the borrower and the lender.
-
Roles and permissions
Assign the Loan manager or Loan moderator role. Permissions for item management, bookings and reviews can be set independently.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I lend items out for free and also rent some out for payment?
- Yes, you set the rate per item: free, donation-based or paid. For a paid item you set a fixed amount in euros; for free and donation-based items no amount is needed.
- What happens if someone brings an item back late?
- As soon as the end date of a running loan passes without the item being returned, Uitlenen marks the booking as Overdue. You'll see this with a red marker in the bookings list and on the dashboard. On return, you close off the booking and the actual return date is recorded.
- Do I have to approve every booking manually?
- Yes. Every booking comes in with the status Pending. You approve or decline it and can add a reply for the borrower, for example about the pickup time.
- Which categories are there?
- Nine categories are ready at activation, including Tools, Garden equipment, Sports and recreation, Events, Transport and Electronics. You can add an unlimited number of your own categories, each with its own icon and sort order.
- Who's allowed to do what in the app?
- The Loan manager manages everything: items, bookings and reviews. The Loan moderator manages items and bookings, but not reviews. The underlying permissions can also be assigned independently.
